It is hereby notified for the information that Ordnance Factory Bhandara (Unit of MIL) intends to engage the following Graduate / Technician Apprentices for Apprenticeship training under the Apprentice Act, 1961 (as amended 1973, 2014 and 2019).

Who are willing for engagement to these apprentices at Ordnance Factory Bhandara and are fulfilling the eligibility criteria as prescribed in this Advertisement, can apply as per the instructions given in this Advertisement.

CRUCIAL DATE: The Crucial Date for determining the Age Limits, Educational Qualifications shall be 13th July 2024.

CLOSING DATE: The Closing Date for submission of the Applications to the Factory shall be 13th July 2024.

CMD MIL/CGM OFBA reserves the right to modify the vacancies/conditions for engagement of apprentices at any stage of engagement.

NOTE: Abbreviations used in this Advertisement stand for as follows: VI: Visual Impairment; HI: Hearing Impairment; LD: Locomotors Disability; PwBD: Persons with Benchmark Disabilities; LV: Low Vision

PERIOD OF TRAINING AND STIPEND: The Period of Training for and the rate of Stipend payable to the Apprentices are as follows :

AGE LIMIT: To undergo Apprenticeship Training, the minimum age limit is 14 years and there is no upper age limit. However, the candidates between the age of 14-18 years are not eligible to sign the Contracts, being the minor. Their Contracts are required to be signed by their Guardians.

EDUCATIONAL AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: On the Crucial Date, the Educational Qualifications and Other Qualifications of the candidates applying for engagement as the Apprentices MUST be as follows :

GRADUATE APPRENTICES
(a) A Degree in Engineering or Technology granted by a statutory University.
(b) A Degree in Engineering or Technology granted by an Institution empowered to grantsuch Degree by an Act of Parliament.
(c) Graduate Examination of Professional Bodies recognized by Central Government as equivalent to a degree.
(d) Candidates who have completed Graduate (Engg.) through regular (full time) mode are only eligible for apprenticeship training.

TECHNICIAN APPRENTICES
(a) A Diploma in engineering or technology granted by a State Council or Board of Technical Education established by a State Government.
(b) A Diploma in Engineering or Technology granted by a University.
(c) A Diploma in Engineering or Technology granted by an Institute recognized by the State Government or Central Government as equivalent to (a) and (b) above.
(d) Candidates who have completed Diploma through regular (full time) mode are only eligible for apprenticeship training

METHOD OF SELECTION:
a) The Selection will be based on the merit list prepared on marks obtained by Graduate / Technician in the Final Year (i.e. aggregate of all years) Examination and Document Verification followed by Medical Examination and Police Verification Report.

In Case of CGPA/SGPA grading, Candidates must produce relevant documents from their School / College / University to calculate the equivalent percentage of marks, in the absence of which candidate will be disqualified.

b) There shall be NO Test or Interview for Selection.

REGISTRATION OF CONTRACT OF APPRENTICESHIP TRAINING
Selected candidates will have to enter into a contract with the employer which will be registered by Board of Apprenticeship Training ( BOAT, WR, Mumbai ) for the period of training under apprenticeship Act, 1961 (Amendment in 1973, 2014 & 2019).
(a) The candidate has to give a Declaration that he has not undergone Apprenticeship Training anywhere, under the Acts.
(b) If the gap between the declaration of the result and the commencement of training is less than one year, a self-affidavit is sufficient and if the gap is between one to five years, a Court Affidavit should be submitted in the same format as Declaration.
(c) A candidate is not eligible to undergo apprenticeship training if the gap is more than five years.

HOW TO APPLY:
(a) The interested candidates, fulfilling the eligibility criteria may fill-up application form and send it to “The Chief General Manager, Ordnance Factory Bhandara (Unit of Munitions India Ltd.) – 441906(MS)” along with the self-attested copies of required documents by post superscripting the envelope with “Application for Graduate / Technician / General Stream Graduate Apprenticeship Training in O.F. Bhandara”.
(b) Incomplete / incorrect / belated applications shall be rejected.
(c) Application in the prescribed format only be accepted.
(d) Applications received in Ordnance Factory Bhandara (Unit of MIL) after 13th July 2024 for any reason what so ever it may be including delay by Post Office, will not be entertained.
