COMMON WRITTEN EXAMINATION [CWE] FOR RECRUITMENT OF PROBATIONARY OFFICERS / MANAGEMENT TRAINEES – IN 19 PUBLIC SECTOR BANKS

The system of common examination for recruitment of Probationary Officers / Management Trainees posts has been approved by each of the 19 participating Public Sector Banks and the Indian Banks’ Association (IBA) with the consent of Government of India.
A Common Written Examination (CWE) will be conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) as a pre-requisite for selection of personnel for Probationary Officers/ Management Trainees posts in the Public Sector Banks mentioned below. IBPS, an autonomous body registered under Societies Registration Act 1860 and a Public Trust under Bombay Public Trust Act 1950, has been authorised by IBA and has received mandates from the 19 Public Sector Banks listed below to conduct the Common Written Examination for recruitment of Probationary Officers/ Management Trainees posts twice a year.

Successful candidates in the CWE will be issued scorecards and may apply to any of the participating banks they wish to by quoting their personal details and their CWE scores, subject to meeting with eligibility criteria as and when individual banks call for applications.
Each Participant Bank will issue individual recruitment notifications, specifying vacancies and stipulating the eligibility criteria in terms of age, educational qualification, experience (if any), minimum required level of IBPS score in each of the tests and on Total Weighted Score (if any) etc.
HOW TO APPLY FOR CWE
Candidates can apply online through IBPS’s website www.ibps.in only and no other mode of application will be accepted.
The detailed advertisement stipulating the procedure for payment of application fee and applying online, eligibility criteria, structure of Written Examination, issuance of call letters and scorecards along with other details is available on IBPS’s website www.ibps.in and in Employment News/Rojgar Samachar.
Candidates are advised to remain in touch with IBPS’s website for any information which may be put for further guidance.
Decision of the IBPS in respect of all matters pertaining to this examination shall be final and binding on all candidates.
