“Recruitment against Open Advertisement Sports Quota for the year 2024-25”
Western Railway invites ONLINE applications from the eligible sports persons who are citizens of India, for filling up 21 posts of group ‘C’ and 43 (erstwhile Group ‘D’) posts of group ‘D’ of the Sports Quota (as in item 2) for the year 2024-25 over Western Railway. There is no reservation for SC/ST/OBC/EWS.

Note: The sportspersons having the sports norms of level 5/4 and applied against the level 3/2 shall be considered only in the level 3/2 and at the time of trial, he/she will have to submit undertaking that after joining Railway, he/she will not claim for higher level of pay on the basis of sports achievement prior to joining Railways.
If vacancies in level 5/4 of particular sports discipline are not filled due to non-availability of suitable candidates, such vacancies will be filled in level 3/2 from the same discipline.
ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS
1. Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 25 years as on 01/01/2025. Candidates born between 02/01/2000 and 01/01/2007 (both days inclusive) should only apply.
2. Educational Qualification: Candidates should possess the following requisite Educational
Qualifications as on 09.08.2024

APPLICATION FEE:
| (D | For all candidates except those mentioned in sub-Para (ii) below | Rs. 500/- (Rs. Five Hundred Only), with a provision of refunding Rs 400/- (Rs Four Hundred Only) to those who are found eligible as per notification and actually appeared in the Trial, after deducting bank charges. |
| (ii) | For candidates belonging to SC / ST / Ex-Servicemen / Persons with Disability /Women/Minorities* and Economic Backward Class** | Rs. 250/- (Rs. Two Hundred Fifty Only) with a provision of refunding the same to those who are found eligible as per notification and actually appeared in the Trial, after deducting bank charges. Candidates in this category should check their eligibility thoroughly before applying. Fee in respect of candidates who are ineligible, but still apply, shall not be refunded. |
Fee payment will have to be made online through payment gateway as part of online application process.
Selection Procedure: All eligible candidates will be called for trial and after trial, only the FIT candidates (securing 25 or more, out of 40 marks for Game skill, physical fitness and coach’s observations during trial) shall be assessed for next stage of recruitment. Candidates declared NOT FIT by the Trial Committee will not be assessed further by the Recruitment Committee.
