Applications are invited from qualified, young and energetic Indian nationals with good health and sound physique to join as Junior Trainees in Visakhapatnam Steel Plant. The job involves working in 3 rotation shifts and only MALE candidates are eligible to apply. However, Female candidates can apply for Electronics & Instrumentation branch only.

| AGE LIMIT(As on 01.5.2012) | ■ Not less than 18 years and not more than 25 years as on 01.5.2012 i.e. born between 01.5.1987 and 30.4.1994 (both days inclusive). ■ Upper Age limit for SC/ST-30 years, OBC(Non-creamy layer) -28 years. ■ Relaxation in Upper Age limit will be given for the following categories as under:> Persons with Disability (PWD) – 10 years> Meritorious Sportspersons – 5 years> Ex-Servicemen – As per rules |

| VACANCIES | Four hundred and fifty three (453) : UR – 227, OBC – 137, SC-75, ST-14 Branch wise vacancies : ■ Mechanical – 308 ■ Electrical -105 ■ Electronics & Instrumentation – 40 ■ Preference will be given to Displaced Persons of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant. However Displaced Persons of VSP need not apply against this advertisement since the list of all the eligible Displaced Persons registered with Sub-Employment Exchange, Gajuwaka will be obtained from the Sub-Employment Exchange and they will be considered. Seventeen(17) posts out of the above are reserved for PWD category as under: i) Partially Blind – 6 (including 1 backlog vacancy) ii) Hearing Impaired – 6 (including 2 backlog vacancies) ii) Orthopaedically Handicapped (40% to 74% disability) – 5 ■ Reservation for Meritorious Sportspersons / Ex-Servicemen (including dependents of those killed in action) / Minority will be given as per rules. |
