Applications are invited for a Research Assistant position, sponsored by the DBT Project, titled “Identification of miRNAs essential for B cell fate commitment of multipotent hematopoietic progenitors” BT/PR1825/AGR/36/679/2011.

Dr. Pongubala’s laboratory is investigating the molecular pathways that control the development of innate and adaptive immune cell types utilizing a combination of genetic, molecular and computational approaches. The selected candidate will be encouraged to study the gene regulatory works that control hematopoietic lineage cell fate decisions. Applicant should have a masters degree (M.Sc./M.Tech) from a reputed University with emphasis in molecular biology, biochemistry or bioinformatics. Good written and oral communication, excellent organizational skills and ability to work in a team environment with an aspiration to learn new techniques and to pursue Ph.D. is highly desired.
