RECRUITMENT OF ASSISTANT LINEMAN AGAINST CRA 289/16

Punjab State Power Corporation Ltd. a power generating and distributing organization of Government of Punjab is looking for the recruitment of Assistant Lineman from the candidates who have completed 2 years Apprenticeship in the trade of Lineman. Preference will be given to those candidates who have done 2 years apprenticeship in PSPCL / PSTCL or erstwhile PSEB. if above candidates arc not available, the other candidates having 2 year apprenticeship in the trade of lineman from any other state/BBMB etc. will be considered.

NOTE:- During the Probation period mentioned in the offer of appointment or extended probation period, newly appointed candidate shall be paid ‘fixed monthly emoluments’ or initial pay only and this will not include any Grade Pay, Dearness allowance, annual increment or any other allowance except the travelling allowance as per entitlement of the post held by such candidate. However, in case of appointment of candidates already in service in PSPCL, their pay shall be protected if the ‘fixed monthly emoluments’ in the offer of appointment are lower than the pay actually drawn by them on the post on which they hold lien. But they will not be given any increment or any other allowance except TA during the Probation Period. When the services of PSPCL employee are regularized in that case the period spent on probation by them shall not be treated to be time spent on such post.

NOTE:- Backlog for Direct Recruitment for the post of Assistant lineman is NIL

QUALIFICATION:
The candidates should meet with the following qualifications:
i) Matriculation
ii) 2 Years Notional Apprenticeship Certificate in Lineman Trade
iii) The candidates who possess higher education i.e. Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering will be considered only if they have minimum qualifications i.e. National Apprenticeship Certificate in Lineman Trade.

NOTE: Preference will be given to those candidates who have done Two Years Apprenticeship in the trade of lineman from PSPCL/ PSTCL or erstwhile PSEB. If above candidates are not available, the other candidates having Two Years Apprenticeship in the trade of Lineman from any other State/BBMB etc. will be considered.

KNOWLEDGE OF PUNJABI:
All the candidates must have passed Punjabi of at least Matriculation or its equivalent level till the date of document checking.

AGE LIMIT:
18 to 42 years as on 1.1.2017.

RELAXATION IN AGE LIMIT:
Upper age limit is relaxabie as admissible under rules/ instructions of PSPCL/ Punjab Government. Relaxation in age in different categories as given below:

a	SC/ST and Backward class:	5 years over & above the normal recruitment age.
b.	Ex-Serviceman:	To the extent of service rendered in Armed Forces of Union of India subiecl to usual terms and conditions.
c.	Physically Handicapped:	10 years over and above the normal recruitment age.
d	In case of the following, the upper age limit shall be 40 years subject to the condition that the candidate is meeting other eligibility criteria for the post. i. Widows; ii. Women who are legally Separated from their husbands or have been divorced; iii. Women whose husbands have been ordered by Civil or Criminal courts to pay maintenance to them; iv. Women who because of their desertion, have been living separately from their Husbands Tor more than two years. v. Women whose husbands have re-married; and vi. Wives of the serving military personnel and wives of I hose who are disabled while in Military’ service.
E	For serving employees of PSPCL / PSTCL : To the extent of service rendered in PSPCL/ PSTCL or erstwhile PSEB.

RESERVATION OF POSTS:
The relaxation of reserved categories is applicable for Punjab Domicile only. The category wise actual number of posts will be worked out on the basis or running roster point as per reservation policy of Punjab Government and adopted by PSPCL from time to time. Category once filled in the online application form will not be changed and no benefit of other category / Sub category will be admissible later on. The reserve category candidate will be required to submit requisite certificate in the prescribed form a( the time of checking of original documents, if he appears in the merit list.

SELECTION PROCESS: Selection will be made purely on merit basis, The merit will be made as per marks obtained In National Apprenticeship Certificate in Lineman trade. The percentage marks obtained shall be rounded off to the nearest 2^nd decimal digit for preparing the merit. No weightage shall be given for higher qualifications.

HOW TO APPLY: Candidates are required to apply On-line through PSPCL website in English at https://cra289new.pspcl.in/. No other means/mode of submission of applications including manual/hand written application will be accepted under any circumstances.

FEE (NON REFUNDABLE): The candidate is required to deposit the fee plus Bank charges along with challan in any Branch of SBI as per the details given below:-

Thc candidate is advised to keep the signed copy of the application form and copy of the Bank challan duly paid to the Bank and he/she will produce the same during document checking.

PSPCL shall match the receipt of the fee in the Bank with the derails given by the candidate and the final acceptance of the application shall be only if the details available in the Bank are matching with the details filled by the candidate in the on-line application. Any mismatch found will lead to the cancellation of application.

IMPORTANT DATES:
(i) Online Registration will start on: 29.11.2017
(ii) Last Dale for Online Registration: 19.12.2017 at 6 PM
(iii) Fee deposit in the bank will close on: 26.12.2017 up to Business hours
(iv) Candidate can print out the application form from the PSPCL website two days after depositing the fee in the bank.
