Recruitment of sports persons against Sports Quota (OpenAdvertisement) on North Western Railway for the year 2014-15
Employment Notice No. 01/2014 (Sports/NWR) Opening Date: 25.06.2014
Closing Date: 26.07.2014 Time upto : 17.00 Hrs.
Closing Date and Time for residents of Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Jammu & Kashmir, Lahaul & Spiti Districts and Pangi sub-division of Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman & Nicobar and Lakshadweep Islands and candidates residing abroad will be Date: 10.08.2014 at 17.00 Hrs.
Applications are invited from eligible sports persons for following sports disciplines for Group ‘C’ and erstwhile Group ‘D’ posts on North Western Railway:

Norms for recruitment:
Norms for Group ‘C’ recruitment (5 posts) in PB 1 5,200-20,200 Grade pay 2,400/2,800
Educational Qualification: Graduate
Norms for Group ‘C’ recruitment (16 posts) in PB 1 5,200-20,200Grade Pay 1,900/2,000
Educational Qualification: Minimum SSC / Matriculate (10th pass).
Norms for Erstwhile Group ‘D’ recruitment (33 posts) in PB-1 5,200-20,200 Grade Pay 1,800/-
Educational Qualification:Minimum Matriculation (10th pass) or ITI or equivalent.
Sports Achievements – Eligibility Norms: Check the attached official notification below.
Age Limit:- Minimum 18 years and maximum 25 years as on 01.07.2014.
Examination Fee:
1. Demand Draft/Indian Postal Order of 100/- for all grade pay. DD/IPO should be drawn in favour of shown in table below. This DD/IPO are non-refundable inany case.
2. No examination fee for SC/ST /Women/minorities candidates. Economically Backward candidates having annual family income less than Rs. 50,000/-p.a are also exempted.
The application should be sent by ordinary post only in a closed envelope or to drop in the application box provided for the purpose in the place mentioned in above table up to 17.00 Hrs. on Date 26.07.2014. No receipt will be given at any counter. Applications sent by Registered Post/Courier/By Registered AD will not be accepted. Any deficiency/discrepancy found in the application form and documents submitted by the applicant will render the application invalid. On the top of the envelope “APPLICATION FOR RECRUITMENT AGAINST SPORTS QUOTA FOR THE YEAR 2014-15” should be subscribed.
