RECRUITMENT OF APPRENTICE DEVELOPMENT OFFICERS

Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) invites online applications from eligible candidates who must be Indian Citizens for selection and appointment as Apprentice Development Officers in the various Offices of LIC of India. Approximately 1251 posts of Apprentice Development Officers are proposed to be filled in by the Offices under the jurisdiction of Zonal Office, Hyderabad.

The number of Apprentice Development Officers recruited from among the Employee Category shall not exceed 15%, from Agents Category shall not exceed 25% and from Others Category(Open Market)shall not exceed 60% of the total number of vacancies for recruitment of Apprentice Development Officers.

The selection and appointment will be subject to the reservation of SC/ST/OBC/EWS as per rules.

The total number of vacancies including vacancies for the reserved category may increase or decrease, depending upon the actual vacancies at the time of final selection and availability of successful candidates after the interview

Selection will be on the basis of on-line test and interview.

Qualification: Graduate in any stream or a Fellow of the Insurance Institute of India, Mumbai.

Job Profile: It is primarily a marketing job involving movement in the allotted area.

Responsibilities: 1) Sponsoring suitable persons to be appointed as Life Insurance Agents, training them and helping them to sell Life Insurance Policies to maximum number of insurable persons 2) Interacting with customers and providing after sales service 3) Performing any other liaison work leading to development of Life Insurance business and 4) Touring extensively if required in the allotted area.

Emoluments and Benefits: Stipend of approximately Rs 34503/- per month during apprentice period. On appointment as a Probationary Development Officer, basic pay of Rs 21865/- per month (except for Employee category candidates) in the scale of Rs 21865-1340(2)-24545-1580(2)-27705-1610(17)- 55075 and other admissible allowances as per rules. Total emoluments will be approximately Rs 37345/- in ‘A’ Class City.
