General Instructions: Candidates are advised to go through these guidelines/instructions thoroughly before applying ON LINE for the Post of UPPER DIVISION CLERKS and MULTI-TASKING STAFF

  • Applicants should be Indian Citizens.
  • The vacancies of UDC/MTS are for the offices and hospitals of Employees’ State Insurance Corporation in Kerala Region.

*Number of vacancies indicated above are provisional and subject to change.The number of vacancies indicated above includes 1(one) vacancy reserved for Ex-servicemen. The vacancies are in various offices of ESI Corporation in Kerala Region and as such selected candidates are liable to be posted in any of the offices of the ESIC in Kerala Region. Only those candidates, who are willing to accept the posting in Kerala Region, need to apply.

SCALE OF PAY

Multi Tasking Staff PB1 [Rs.5200-20200] Rs.1800/-
In addition to the above, DA,HRA and Transport allowance as per rules in force from time to time applicable to employees of ESI Corporation n are also admissible.
Age Limit
[a]. For Upper Division Clerks – Between 18 and 27 Years as on 16.01.2012. [b]. For Multi Tasking Staff–Between 18 and 25 years as on 16.01.2012

Relaxation in age will be as below:

Candidates seeking relaxation should submit attested copy of Community/Caste/Disability/Discharge certificate in the prescribed Form. Candidates claiming reservation/age relaxation on the grounds of belonging to OBC should submit the community certificate in Annexure ‘A’ prescribed vide Government of India, Department of Personnel & Training O M No. 36012/22/93 Estt (SCT) dated 8.9.1993 and modified vide GOI, DOPT’s OM No. 36033/2/2004 ESTT (RES) dated 9.3.2004 i.e. in the form to be produced by Other Backward Classesapplying for appointment to the post under Government of India. Only those belonging to such castes/communities falling in the Central list of the OBC prepared by the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India are entitled to reservation in the services under Government of India. The candidates not submitting the OBC Certificate in the Proforma prescribed for appointment to the post under the Government of India shall not be considered for reservation under OBC Category.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION:

I) Degree of a recognized University or equivalent.
II) Working knowledge of Computer including use of Office Suites and databases.
Matriculation or equivalent pass

Mode of Payment: A Demand Draft drawn on State Bank of India or its subsidiary banks or any Nationalised Bank after the publication of this advertisement in favour of ESI Corporation and payable at TRICHUR. Candidates must write his name, address and computer generated Application Number on reverse of DD. Fees once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances nor will it be reserved for any other examination.Candidates belonging to SC/PH/Ex-servicemen category, ESI Corporation Employees and female candidates are exempted from payment of Examination fees.

Part I: Written Test. [For both UDC & MTS]

The questions will be set in English and Hindi for subject [i], [iii] & [iv]. The maximum marks will be 200. The level of difficulty will be as the educational qualification of the respective post

Part II: Computer Skill Test : for Upper Division Clerks [For UDC only]

The Test shall comprise of the following three parts:
Part A – Preparation of two Power Point Presentations/slides on MS – Power Point
Part B – Typing a letter/passage/paragraph of about 150-200 words in MS-Word
Part C – Preparation of Table/Database in MS-Excel. The total marks of the Computer Skill Test shall be 50 marks with duration of 30 minutes for completing all the three parts.

Method of selection:
[a] The Selection for the post of UDC will be made on the basis of written test [Part I Objective Type] followed by computer Skill Test of the candidates shortlisted on the basis of their performance in the written test [Part] Part-1.
[b] The Selection for the post of MTS will be made on the basis of written Test only.

The Number of vacancies can vary at the time of final selection.

PART 1 WRITTEN TEST WILL BE HELD AT KOLLAM, ERNAKULAM, THRISSUR AND KOZHIKODE
