Applications are invited from Indian Nationals to fill up the following vacancies in Industrial Establishment (Group C) at Engine Factory, Avadi. The candidates shall apply for through online only. The website address for online registration is efa.gov.in Any applications received at EFA without an online registration will not be accepted.
The online registration will be opened on 20.05.2014 and closed on 09.06.2014
The printed duly filled in online application alongwith the requisite documents should be sent to the The General Manager, Engine Factory Avadi, Chennai – 54. Printed duly filled in application downloaded from the website will be accepted by the Factory upto one week from the date of closing of online registration i.e. upto 16.06.2014

PAY BAND AND GRADE PAYS: Rs.5200-20,200/- + GP – Rs.1800/-
AGE LIMIT: 18 to 32 years. Age relaxation is applicable. Check the attached notification.
EDUCATIONAL AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
- For the Posts of Machinist, Electrician, Fitter Electronics, Millwright, & Electroplator Matriculation /NAC/NTC issued by National Council of Trades for Vocational Training (NCTVT) certificate in the relevant trade .
- For The Post of Examiner, Matriculation/NAC/ NTC issued by National Council of Trades for Vocational Training (NCTVT) certificate in the trade of Machinist {for Examiner (Machinist)} & Fitter {for Examiner (Fitter)}
It is also brought out that Degree and Diploma in Engineering cannot be accepted as qualification to semi-skilled posts.
SELECTION: The selection will be made strictly on the basis of merit. The selection process will comprise of written test of 100 marks and trade test (Practical). All eligible candidates will be called for an objective type written test. On the basis of merit of written test marks, candidates will be called for trade test (Practical test) in the ratio of 1:3 to the number of vacancies. Final merit will be decided on the basis of marks in the written test and performance in the practical test.
APPLICATION FEE
- An application fee of Rs.50/- (Rupees Fifty Only) is payable by the candidates
- SC/ST/XSM/PH candidates are exempted from payment of application fee.
INSTRUCTIONS TO APPLY
- The candidates should read the instructions given in the website carefully before filling up the application.
- After submitting and taking print of the “filled” online application, the candidates should forward a copy of the same alongwith the certificates to “The General Manager, Engine Factory Avadi”. The candidate should put the left thumb impression at the relevant place on the printed application. Applications should be addressed to The General Manager, Engine Factory, Avadi, Chennai – 600 054.
- The online registration will be open from 20.05.2014 and will be closed on 09.06.2014 . Printed applications will be accepted by the Factory upto 16.06 .2014.
